Sunset Point Camps

Sunset Point cabins are far from congestion, locked doors, telephones, electricity and most of the assorted headaches of life these days. While remote, we are hardly primitive. We light our warm and bright cabins with silent gas lights; we cook and refrigerate with gas in each cabin's full kitchen. Because the utilities are silent you can hear the loons calling across the lake each evening.

Each cabin has a wood stove and plenty of birch  to burn for cool summer nights and autumn days. The lake is clean and fresh as only our Maine mountain lakes can be, but we also provide hot showers for the occasional "night out". It's about half an hour to town where there are a number of excellent restaurants as well as lots of other things to do.

Our four cottages range in size from a one-room honeymoon cabin to our Big House: three plus bedrooms (sleeps 8 people), dining room with fieldstone fireplace and spacious outdoor deck. Our other two cabins each have two bedrooms and a futon in the living room for extra sleeping space.

Our two swimming areas are sandy, clean, and gradual. We have canoes, which are available to our guests, and also can launch and dock your larger boats. Our covered cook-out area is a common evening gathering place. And, of course, kids, good friends and your dog are always welcome at Sunset Point.
